Politics can be boring because you know its always going to be the same kind of bs floating around but can also be interesting to see how it all turns out, to see/hear other peoples opinions on things. PLUS its fun to watch politicians make asses of themselves [Very Happy]

I find politics boring for the most part. However, Barack Obama fascinates me. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be paying attention to the US Presidential election.

I hate traditional politics and everything about it. I don't pay attention to my countries elections, nor do I care. And yes, it is pathetically boring.

This upcoming election in the US is actually entertaining to watch and keep track of. Barack Obama is an absolute genius and is absolutely fascinating to watch. He is the most inspirational figure in modern politics.

We need more people like him to keep the political process current and meaningful.

I think it actually got more exciting when I got registered to vote around when I turned 18 last year. =P I mean this time I get to be 'included'! So, I like to keep up with what is happening in the race.

I love making fun of politics though. Political Humor is fun. <.< xD

I am not "offended" by the turnout of this whole thread but as a political science major, I think I should put in my two cents.

Firstly, politics to me is important and vital to any society, it creates accountability for the system that is governing. It is a system that can give politicans feedback and allow people to vote someone out if they don't agree on their platform. This may all seem too "superficial", but imagine a world without no governing body, everything would be pushed into chaos. If you get stabbed, no one would be arrested or it would be so corrupted that policemen would only help you if you piad them or they had a connection with you. Anyways, i'm going on a tangent, let me talk about another thing that seems to be a problem with most people with politics.

Politicans create platforms specifically to answer "issues". Issues are usually the same because it DOES take years for an issue to be solved and sometimes issues never get fixed because people have different point of views. This is when politics step in and try and represent as many people as possible and make sure that their voice is heard. This is done through pressure groups, public debates, and etc....... It's not that that they WANT to create such even and balanced platforms that amount to nothing, but last time i checked being revolutionary doesn't get you elected. Until society is willing to take chances, no one revolutionary will step up.
I mean Hitler, Mussolini, and Franco wasn't exactly popular until the right time. And issues sometimes overlap each other, so if one politican believes in one thing they can't agree on another thing so this causes the politican to be stuck into one platform and believe in one thing. That is why you can't find a political party that supports EVERYTHING.

Finally, (I know I am going on weirdness.. but is 2:36 a.m.. i can't think) I think if you believe that politics is boring, it won't help you in anyway because you can't make changes unless you pay attention and vote correctly according to your believes..... It seems alot of people are voting soley on the TV now =\ I mean trust me... Barack Obama doesn't look that impressive when you take into account his track record... being inspirational doesn't mean he can run the machine... look at him now, in this long struggle against Hillary, When the general election comes.... He'll be screwed if he is putting up this kind of effort against the republicans..
Anyways I dono shit all about American politics

Canadian politics suck, i'll learn more about your system next year.. .WOO peace.
