I'm currently on the Pill & it's the fourth brand I've tried. I was first on Tri-Cyclen Lo (I have no idea why, I don't have acne) & I had weird side effects. I switched to Yasmin, which also had side effects. Then to Demulen which made me nauseous. Now I've been on Alesse for almost 5 months & I've had very minimal nausea so I'm sticking with it.
Which brands have you been on? Did you have side effects?
The oral contraceptive pill. It prevents pregnancy. It's a pill with hormones in it & you take it once a day (around the same time) & basically it prevents ovulation. It can also make the muscus around the cervix thicker, making it harder for sperm to get to the uterus.
Yeah I'm on the pill but by the sounds of it I had an easier type I just could put
on one and that was it. I haven't had any side effects at all. I can't remember the make/name and it wouldn't even help to explain the packaging since it's probably different.
But I got put on it because I had bloody painful periods and was ending up coming home from school early because of the pain. And it helps with the spots aswell ^_^ and it helps keep the babies away too

A "pill" for men should be coming out in the U.S. in the near future. They already have it in some foreign countries and it's 98% effective. I don't know how it's supposed to work though, can anyone dig deeper into this subject?
I can't take birth control at all so I dont. Birth control can be unhealthy depending on the persons body it can work the opposite with ones hormones and actually cause and increase clotting in ones blood.

I did a bit of reading on this about a year ago & from what I remember, it basically stops sperm production for a temporary amount of time. I think you can Wiki it & find out more, because I could be wrong!

I can always dig deeper for the right lady, but really I would never do this pill. If I don't want a baby it's easy enough to avoid
thats what you say now bub...I used to tell my girlfriends that I never wanted to wear a condom but I wouldn't do something stupid like unprotected sex.
Now whenever I have less than 10 condoms by my bed I'm planning a trip to the health department to beg for more.
