Here's the deal: We've talked about this in the past, however we never followed through and actually changed things. The problem we discussed is that the forum topics are "too general" (you can find these topics on any forum!)
I found even myself bored at times to follow through and post in them. That is not good news coming from the owner of the website!
Though, we know exactly what is wrong, so we can now fix it! We can make this place work by changing things around until we find something that works!
I need your help on brainstorming ideas, in order to bring about a CHANGE!
Community Flow is a community of young adults (Age Group: 16-25). And one of our goals on this website is to keep things entertaining, and fresh.
Now - how do we compress the forums into topics that would only interest people ages 16-25... while alienating all other age groups? (Yes, our goal is to alienate all other age groups! We don't want anyone else to actually LIKE posting in these forums other than the main age group!)
Well first, what are some common things that peak around this age group?
* Sexual promiscuity
* Alcohol Use / Drug Use
* University/College
* Job Pursuit
* Relationships
etc. add to the list!
Now... once we've brainstormed a bunch of things that are common for this age group... we eliminate all other topics and focus on these MAIN things young adults are involved in.
We would eliminate politics, religion, etc. because in this day and age these kinds of things are not the main concern for young adults, lets admit it.
We would be left with forums young adults can relate to, and we can expand on them and go more in depth with them.
First things first, add on to the list of keywords!
- Then we can discuss what forums to change around, add, remove, and expand on!

I would like to still have a politics/religion/etc. forum. Maybe we can have just a global issues forum & have all of those topics under just that one forum.
I changed my mind after some thought. The forums available are quite nice. I have come to the conclusion that I was bored to post because of lack of activtiy -- not because of the forums themselves.
How to solve this problem? More marketing and advertising!
I'll post an in depth advertising page soon on how the members can contribute with advertising, and what they can get out of it.
