Like, 2 weeks ago one of the News Casters from my local news went to Sudan with some other people. There are these 2 people that run the food bank in London and they raise money then go over to Sudan and buy slaves so they can release them.

I guess ... but I'm always afraid of what happens to these slaves once they're "released" where do they go? Back to the slave driver.

the world is full of problems. Ive come to accept that. Do i care about Sudan? yes, I do. Am I going to lose sleep over it? nah. Its a sad situation but its also the extremes of human survival. Such examples have always existed and likely will exist forever.

I think world superpowers who control interests in foreign countries are to blame, partly. Not to bash USA, but it spends a trillion dollars in Iraq to free people who were free all along, yet this shit happens in Sudan and they look the other way. Money, power and natural resources will always prevail over human suffering.

My school is doing fundraisers for the people in Darfur. It's a really sad situation.
