The book I'm currently reading is... "Even if it kills me" by Dorothy Joan Harris. So far, I find it interesting ... Have any of you guys read it, or heard of it?
Well, it's about this girl with and older sister, her older sister has some "problems" and her mother is glad she isn't like her sister...
Thats all I read so far, and on the back it says she's dieting, even if it kills her. I fidn that pretty stupid..
I read that way back, I just remembered now lol. She gets better though.
She starts off wishing she was pretty like the popular girl who gets her locker decorated for her birthday. Then when HER birthday comes around no one even notices. So she thinks losing weight will make her look pretty. She starts by counting the calories in the food she eats, starts starving herself, and chops up her lunch into little bits. Then it gets to the point where she's in the hospital and they have to feed her by fluids cause she'd get sick if she began eating again cause her stomach wouldn't be able to handle it. I remember she had one girl with the same problem near her that suggested the "stick the finger down the throat" idea. Then her nurse caught her. Then the friend did secret work outs during the night and eventually died. So, the girl finally came to her senses and slowly began eating normally again.
