I walk 20 minutes to the bus station and then ride the bus too school (which is pretty uncomfortable since the bus is always packed and there's not enough leg/body room on the bus) but in the Summer I bike the 13KM to my school and then 13KM back which tkes about half an hour to get to school, and like an hour or coming back (wind is a killer)
My Mom would drive me in the morning before she went to work too.

I drive my maxima to school, takes 10 minutes or so to get there seeing as I know when most of the lights will turn colors and can speed up or slow down to avoid getting hit with them. I could theoretically bike to school, it's only a few miles, but I don't trust my bike being left alone all day.
Padlock it and take the saddle off? It still wouldn't be safe?
When I went to school it would take me about 15 minutes to walk to school and probably double that coming back depending on the company.
We've got a 2 rows of shops and 2 parks so during the summer months we'd always end up buying ice poles and sitting in the park for agess instead of going home and doing homework.
But now I get to college by bus and train ^_^ With my trusty Zonecard I can do anything

I don't anymore, because I've graduated. But I used to walk 3 houses up to the bus stop at 7:25, catch the 414 bus to the train station, catch the train up 2 stations and catch the 443 bus to school and get there at 8:20
I get driven to school in the mornings and usually have something after school such as a sports practice or meeting. My parents don't allow me to walk home on my own and therefore, must get driven from school as well. However, if there happens to be a day where I do not have any practice, game, or meeting after school, I usually walk home with some friends who live around the area.
