I have always stood for this theory we are all related or linked in some way or the other, people with the same surname are linked closer than others..#

Yes, apes, not monkeys. The theory involves the development or evolving of a species of ape in the African plains. They eventually migrate, and those that go further north (up to the European continent, and such) soon attain lighter skin. Those that remain in Africa maintain dark skin. So yes, we're related in that sense. We're all homo sapiens, and we brought about the extinction of the Neanderthal.
Of sentences 2-4, I may have misrepresented the factual argument that the theory presents, as my recollection is a bit flimsy since my knowledge relating to it was attained months ago through a science book and a corresponding program that aired on the History channel.
