Who makes the best CPUs?

I'm putting my vote on Intel just cause of the Core 2 architecture. I once upon a time was brainwashed by Athlon processors hehe.

Based on what very little I know, I'd say IBM or Intel. I guess I'll vote for Intel though.

Isn't there virtually no difference between AMD and Intel, and in fact, the only reason people state Intel is better because they equate it with Windows?

(that's honestly a question)

AMD isn't as good as Intel.

Plus I find more stalls within AMD processors.

a pentium E2140 is a better value than an X2 4000+ which are pretty much the worst things I'd buy from either company right now

they both cost $60 on newegg and the E2140 is known to run up to 3ghz which with the new architecture is even faster per clock than an AMD and its pretty damn hard to bring an 4000+ up to 3.0 anyways, even though they run a few hundred mhz faster from the factory
