walked into the pet store
I wanted a kitten that was fun
I took just one look
And knew he was the one
He spent all day outside
But when he came in the house
He gave his precious gift to me
'Twas a plump field mouse
One day he disappeared
We thought he ran away
But he was really in the neighbors' garage
Sleeping, all day
Sometimes we play too rough
And he scratches me with his claw
But I forgive him anyway
Because I love him most of all.
