Just a general question so I have something to work on.
I've noticed a domino effect in the history of Community Flow. Whenever certain members don't post for a couple of days, all other members kind of follow. When they do start posting, a bunch of other people start posting as well.
Help me understand this!
1) What can I change that would make you want to post more? That would make you enjoy posting more? 2) Name some features in other forums that makes you want to visit and post on them. 3) Name some features on other forums that makes you want to avoid them. 4) Anything else?
Cheers,
Kris

-More attention put on quality topics and articles. Having articles and topics that interest me.
2) Name some features in other forums that makes you want to visit and post on them.
-A lot of activity
-Smart, mature members
-Members who don't take themselves very seriously
-Fast load time
3) Name some features on other forums that makes you want to avoid them.
-Slow forums
-Confusing and too much features
4) Anything else?

As far as I'm concerned, you will ALWAYS see me here everyday, looking at something, or just watching over everything/everyone.
But if its the same topic that I have posted a couple of replies (which is pretty much the case with most of them) I will start to ignore most of the topics.
Alot more of activity would be nice, so I have nice, fresh topics to reply to everyday.
But at the same time, sometimes alot of activity is a bad thing because we receive immature posts, irrelevant posts and immature members or spammers, with nothing else better to do.
When theres a real discussion going on in a topic thread, sure I'll join in, but when alot of the topics have like one reply once a day or so, it makes Miss Marie a saddddd panda. =/
So basically, when you see new, fresh topics which actually have some kind of meaning to them (not spam or idiotic things) you see me jump on them if I'm home. :]
Otherwise, you just see me looking over everything. ^^
So yea, lots of activity would make Miss Marie happy :]
OH and, I think we should have an anonymous option to post in case someone would like to post a "personal" question or thread and they dont want to be seen.
A "contact a mod" thing would be nice too... That way if a new member or someone has a question about the forums, they can contact a mod that is online. :] IDK, just an idea. Ignore retarded marie

1) As of right now, I'm satisfied with Community Flow. It's gone through many updates over the past month or so, which is always nice to see. Although, I'd love to see more new active members. I'm sure that'll come with time.
2) - Lots of active posters with different personalities, opinions & beliefs
- Nice layouts
- Good Moderators & Staff
- An active Administrator
- Friendly environment (not having to fear being made fun of or harassed, etc.)
3) - Language filters
- Moderators & Staff who don't do their job or don't practise what they preach
- Cliquey members
- Pop-ups or obnoxious ads
4) Moderator training would be nice. The handbook is useful, but I find that not everything is covered. Especially with the Mod Army bringing lots of new Mods I'm sure this would make it easier to ensure that all of the Mods do their job properly. I also like Marie's idea about contacting online Moderators.

Count Rugen: Yes
Inigo Montoya: Power too promise that!

Count Rugen: All that I have and more. Please.
Inigo Montoya: Offer me everything I ask for.
In all honesty....just recruit a few people that can look at these number and letter combinations and know what they are: E6600, E6750, E6850, E2140, Q6600, 8800GT, X2 6000+, VG30DETT, RB26DETT, 2JZ-GTE, 426, 6G72, 4G63T, etc. I love talking nerdy >_>

Marie is on them, I own them, they help me recruit people for my 2moons guild, etc.

4) Anything else?
I like big butts?

Moderators are not the be all and end all of help on a forum.
Members should, perhaps, be assigned an older member for their first active week, to ask questions.

Hm, I like that idea too. But I think she may have said Moderators because right now (minus a few people like you) Moderators are the most active members. Maybe if we found a few more active people, this idea would totally work. Perhaps it could even be a mixture of both older members & Mods.

I never said asking a mod would give answers from God. -_-'
And I know for a fact that alot of people would rather just post a topic and hope they get an answer than to contact a mod. And YES I know that alot of the mods from the Mod Army ARE NOT the best people to ask because personally alot of them dont know their butt from a hole in the ground. That way, possibly, when you have the 'contact a mod' option, who ever is online as mod could be ranked, as far as helpfulness, and other things go. And then whoever is online, say, Sarah, could be contacted. If shes not online, maybe Amber. Just saying.
I have a few ideas of how the blogs could be improved. I think we need more emotions, seeing as the list is very limited. I don't know if you're familiar with LiveJournal or not, but it would be nice to have the cut option. & I think we should be able to edit the tables & things, so they don't all have the same look.

You can add more smileys for the blogs in the mod panel. If you would like me to upload more smileys so you can add em give me a link to some smileys I can download.

Oh, it's not the smileys I'm talking about. It's the actual emotions in the drop-down list. There's like 10 options & they're all pretty basic emotions (happy, sleepy, very sad, etc.)
