There is actually a code that can be inbedded into a website that allows you to BLOCK people from viewing your site without using firefox, and it gives you a message explaining why IE is so bad. There are different levels of restriction, one just puts a bar on top of the site stating the user should switch to firefox, and then there is the full out refusal of access using IE. The best part is, you can get PAID to have this code on your site! For every user you refer, you are paid!

oh man thats awsome, and to the guy that posted, IE dewserves to be bashed, its so crap and it has nothing to do with the widespeard use of PCs, and besides, i would rather have macs be the dominant OS
Not their fault people paid huge prices for their junk. If they didn't want to pay that much, they didn't have to. People don't buy things all the time because the price is too high, why isn't it the same with computers?
Because there's only 3 major computer OS brands out there - Mac, PC and Linux. Linux is crap unless you're using it for a database. Most people are accustomed to PC, which would make a change to Mac very confusing (the same can be said for Mac users switching to PC, but that's besides the point). PC is the predominant brand out there, so people therefore have to shell out a lot of money just so their computer will work with all the crappy updates Microsoft spews out. (to my knowledge, Mac OS software ain't cheap either)
And if IE is only "popular" because Microsoft made it, and Microsoft made PC's popular (which isn't true, btw) - can the same be said for Windows Media Player? NO. WMP is bollocks, and so is IE
Switch to Firefox. It's way better (unless the addons confuse you - but you get used to them. seriously)
Well . . . when I saw that there was a new version of Firefox out I decided why not give it a try. I can't tell what is better. It works just the same. Tell me what is supposed to be better here?
