Well basically I'm making a thread for me and Marie's favorite racing game - Need For Speed Underground 2

Why Underground 2? Well for starters the older need for speed games had wrse graphics and no customization (up till underground 1) and underground 1 still had bad graphics (not to mention the unpatched PC version flashes in and out of the game when you hit the NOS). Don't get me wrong I like Most Wanted and Carbon but Carbon's soundtrack kinda sucks not to mention its a short game (I beat the whole game besides like 3 races in one evening) and lets face it, most wanted was extremely difficult - mostly because of the objectives involving the cops, which if you didn't complete you couldn't progress further in the story which ended up in you spending 3 straight hours running from cops in a Lamborghini Gallardo only to hit a spike strip or get pinned against a tree somewhere again and again.

Overall I think Underground 2 is the most well rounded NFS game and deserves its own topic here.

So yeah whats everyone think?

I think that the coolest car in the game is the Hyundai Tiburon with the Vapor Wide Body Kit. I also think nobody should start the game without a miata [Twisted Evil]

What really annoys me about the game is the Dyno - it tells you your top speed is lets say 180mph, and then you go to race and you hit 205mph. The other thing that annoys me alot is cars spinning out of control in first gear.

This is my favorite game because its the first game NFS game that I had ever played, only I played it for ps2 about 2 years ago. But since then I guess it just stuck with me.

Thats all you have to say about it? geez girl I made this and the car topic expecting you to talk forever about your mitsubishi eclipses and me to be able to make replies related to AWD and reliability and etc.

I've actually started playing NFSU1 a lot recently, never played #2 but I really like the first one. I like it a lot more then these more realistic road racing ones like Forza and stuff

Realism for the lose....to a degree.

I can't play racing games without authentic liscensed cars anymore hehe. Underground the original is that bad cars or race wise but you'd probably like UG2 alot more, pick it up its probably in your local game store's value bin by now and if it isn't it's about $15 on amazon and likely cheaper if you shop around.

One easy difference between the two is the nissan skyline - in UG1 its like OMFG GOD CAR! and in UG2 its like "meh, its got the best stats but my miata is better handling and my celica has so many unique performance upgrades by this point in the game the skyline isn't really an improvement". Basically its a very balanced game.
