I used to cut my wrist, but it was a very shortly lived thing because of the fact that my parents keep very tight tabs on me and could tell that something was up when I was wearing long sleeves in June.
It was a very emotional time for me and I did it because it was basically the only thing that I could control. I couldn't control my life at that point, or at least I didn't think I could. At least now I'm on medication and have yet to cut myself in almost a year.

my friend does it sometimes, I don't understand why! She looks pretty happy, and she's not like a social outcast or shy or anything.. I don't really talk about it with her much though since.. ya know.. kind of an awkward subject to talk about.. but yeah if she's ever out of her house wearing a T-Shirt she's got wrist bands on
For me though, I would never do it and have never thought about doing it. I don't want to die or be in pain or anything negative like that
For those who have never cut their wrists, yes, it would freak them out in a way. I know how you feel as I would never even consider self-harm. However, I do have friends who see self-harm as an effective coping mechanism.
At first, this was very difficult for me to understand. I mean, I just didn't see why they would want to hurt themselves because they were unhappy. However, I learned to try my best to see things from their perspective.
In order to fully understand people, you really need to try and see things through their eyes or else you won't understand why people do what they do. Obviously, self-harm makes sense to them or else they wouldn't be doing it.
I've never cut my wrists, but I used to cut my upper thighs because there no one would notice. I'm too self-conscious to wear shorts or super-short skirts anyway.
I don't anymore, so it's all good.
But yeah, like Kris said. Pain feels good, sometimes.
