I make my rice steamed, I first get about 3-4 cups of rice, put it in a big bowl and rinse it, after that step i put it in the rice cooker and I can enjoy a wonderful meal of rice
It depends on the kind of rice you are making, for me its either rice cooker or I use minute rice and do equal parts water and rice. Boil the water first the put the rice in and then put the lid on and shut the burner off...wait 5 mins and eat =D
I vary what I use with it though. I like green onion, and chicken flav, and other stuffs with it =D

What kind of rice do you wanna make? Sushi rice, fried rice, plain rice?
Since everyone else gave you instructions for steamed, ill give you instructions for sushi rice, which is stickier and usually used for sushi but still very tasty on its own!
youll need
* 3 cups Japanese rice
* 3 1/4 cups water
* 1/3 cup rice vinegar
* 3 Tbsp sugar
* 1 tsp salt
After washing and soaking Japanese rice, cook and let it steam, like the others told u
Prepare sushi vinegar (sushi-zu) by mixing rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a sauce pan. Put the pan on low heat and heat until the sugar dissolves. Cool the vinegar mixture.
Spread the hot steamed rice into a large plate or a large bowl. Please use a non-metallic bowl to prevent any interaction with rice vinegar. It's best to use a wooden bowl called sushi-oke. Sprinkle the vinegar mixture over the rice and fold the rice by shamoji (rice spatula) quickly. Be careful not to smash the rice.
To cool and remove the moisture of the rice well, use a fan as you mix sushi rice. This will give sushi rice a shiny look.

The way I make rice is take 3-5 cups depending on how many people you are serving. Wash it about 2-4 times in water and pour out the dirty water cause you don't want the dirt and bacteria that are on it lol. Then I usually fill it until the layer of the water is about 1-2cm above the rice and I put it in a rice cooker that automatically cooks it for me lol. When the rice is ready just open it and give it a stir because it will turn out flat and the bottom might have rice stuck to it .
