I was thinking about it then i thought that when you die it is a complete blank. It is exactly like when you sleep and you have no dreams going on, just blank, or you could be reincarnaded OR you could copy your brain when you die and place it in a new body and have the same memory. I'm weird i know. Post what you think.
At the moment, I'm being a little pessimistic and going to have to say that I agree with one of your statements.. I think death is like when you go to sleep and just have no dreams at all. Just like being unconscious.. I suppose.
I'm not really afraid of death, I don't think. Maybe I will be, once it's near. But as it stands, I'm pretty happy with the way I live, and I think before I act or speak. I don't leave things unfinished, it's in my nature to cross my t's and dot my i's immediately and never leave strings untied.
Is anyone afraid of death? What exactly are you afraid of? Why?

I'm catholic and my beliefs are very strong that I will go to heaven when I die. Don't get me wrong, I stay true to my religion, but I think everyone wonders at some point, what if God didn't exist? What else could possibly happen when I pass that would make any sense at all?
- The concept of God makes a lot of sense to me because God is a truly great and divine being that created us. It makes sense because when we die, we will be in god's hands.
- Although if God didn't exist, it would be possible that when we die, our brains will just stop functioning and we will cease to exist. It will be blank but we will not be aware of it, because we wouldn't exist.
- Reincarnation is also a concept that I have often thought about and it truly amazes me. Oprah did a show once about people who claim to have been reincarnated and remember vast details about their past lives. It's a scary though that any one of us could have been Abraham Lincoln or even Hitler in a past life, but it's worth considering.
And sunny to answer your question, yes death scares me. Not because of a possibility of suffering a painful death but the mystery of death itself. What will happen to me? Where will my soul end up? What will happen to my family and friends when I'm gone? That kind of thing.

Sometimes i think God exist sometimes I don't. It makes you think...
Exactly, believing doesn't necessarily mean knowing something for certain. Those kinds of things are worth thinking about especially when you're talking about death.
I am not the least bit worried about death, sometimes I used to wonder what really goes on in your head when I was religious. I mean assuming I believed when does your "spirit" decide to leave your head and run off to heaven or hell.
Personally, I'd rather have eternal death than some afterlife...I mean how the heck do you know it's really you up there? You don't have a physical body dividing you from the other consciousnesses. If you don't know who you are then whats the point of existence? Not to mention in Christian religious beliefs supposedly no sin enters heaven and stuff like that. The most important thing in the world to me is sexual relationships and if I was to lose that I wouldn't be myself anymore so what am I saving?
