i guess thats okay, but lifting the absolute maximum you can do like once only is kinda pointless

your supposed to lift a weight that you can do 8 reps of, once your body has become strong enough to be able to do 12, then you increase by at least 5% or until you max out at 8 reps again

it is...but we test for football to see where everyone is at strength wise. when I workout I do regular sets...well, each weak varies for our core lifts...like 1 week it will be 3x3, then 5x5, then 5x5,4,3,2,1 (first set do 5 reps, second set do 4, then 3, etc.), 3x10, 3x10,8,6 (1st set do 10, then 8, then 6)

this week we our doing 5,4,3,2,1...and after that I did this

Bench: 195 (I think I can probably get 200+ by now)
Squat: haven't done it this week yet (will do tomorrow) but I am probably at 300 (could probably/maybe get like 320 with knee wraps)

I weight like 150 pounds...I want to lose like 3 pounds by June so that way I can be in the 148 pound weight class at the school liftathon instead of 160 pound class...but don't think that will happen since I am lifting for football, and that would call for me to get bigger

bumpage?

We maxed out this past week for football again...

Bench: 205
Squat: 295
Clean: 165

My bench took like 3 days, and I got it the first try on the 3rd day, when I had the least amount of sleep...my clean isnt all that good either, but it is alright...I'm a pretty good squatter, but I am mad I couldn't atleast get 305 [Evil or Very Mad]

also, I weigh like 155ish nowadays

you bench 150 but squat 100? 150's really good (assuming you're not my size) I bench 200, but I'm 250 pounds.

weight: 160
bench: 175+
squat: 300+
clean: 135+ (definitely higher muscularly but my wrists used to dislocate at 115 and I rarely try to go to even 135 cause I could have wrist problems)

I've been lifting stuff all my life. I lift 160lb copiers on my own quite often. I could lift heavier, the copiers are just awkward because of the size of them.

I benched 240 about 18 months ago. I have to start going back to the gym and benching again.
