Well since people in America voted him into office twice, some people have got to be supporting this idiot, are you one one of them or are you not? Why?

FIrst things first - I'd like to point out that the poll was REALLY close in both instances, which means the nation was spilt 50-50. Thank god he can't run again...

Anyway. No. NonononononononononoNO. I think this whole Iraq crap was a complete waste of time/money/life. And although I have nothing against Christians, I believe that his trying to implement biblical teachings into the law is just utter crap. I mean - isn't America a free country? There shouldn't be limitations on gay marriage, abortion [apologies to pro-abortionists], etc etc etc. Just because the president is religious, that doesn't mean the rest of the country must follow suit.

I rest my case.

The Religious Right movement sees "freedom" as "the freedom for Christians to inject their view into government, and any aspect of the public sector, for that matter, whereas adherents of other religions or no religion can go screw themselves."

As Michael Wong ranted...

"[...] Hey listen, if you're a Christian and you like nativity scenes, good for you. Put one in your living room. Put one in your church. Hell, put one on your front lawn for all I care. But noooooo, that's not enough, is it? Oh no, you're being 'oppressed' if you can't put it on somebody else's property too! Well, cry me a fucking river. I guess 'religious freedom' means 'I get to run around putting my religious stuff on other peoples' property' now, eh?"
-- Michael Wong; excerpt from: Christmas Whiners; Mike's Rants

Bush's approval ratings are the lowest they've ever been, according to the latest Gallup poll. If he could run again, it's likely that he'd lose profoundly, doubting that he can get out of the mess he's in and improve his image substantially enough.

I do not support Bush.

The rest of the country isn't following suit, there are a hell of a lot of Americans that agree and support Bush. If not, he wouldn't be our president right now.

I know this, redstar, but by "following suit" I mean the ones that don't already agree with Bush now are being forced to adopt his morals, in a sense

As a Canadian I do not now nor have I ever been a supporter of Bush and the politics he brings to the table. I wouldn't say it's all that far of a stretch of the imagination to say he isn't doing what is in the best interest of the American people nor do I believe he is doing whats in the best interests of the other countries that are directly affected by a lot of his political/moral choices. I recently read (maybe heard it on the news) that OVER 60% of the American people disagree with this "war" but do support the troops that were deployed (who wants to see them die ?? ) and if it were possible for him to run again they would think twice about electing him.

Don't get me wrong Im not knocking the complete set up as there are things within the Canadian government that I disagree with as well.

Save the environment, plant a Bush back in Texas.

Haha. I definitely do not support him. Maybe I'm naive. Who knows? But I don't think he's got the right idea of America and what it was based on. Like Sarah said, what ever happened to seperation of church and state? I'm Catholic but I don't think the government should decide what beliefs we have. Let people marry others from the same gender if they want. It's not fair for those that don't believe in God to have to follow that belief and it's not fair for gay people.

ANNNDD he is ruining the environment. Because I heard he doesn't care about global warming or anything. (Wow Global Warming itself could be a controversial topic because I know a lot of people who believe in it and people who don't think it even exists). Plus, that war in Iraq is so stupid. I have like a whole list of reasons that I could name, but I don't want to write too much. Lmao.

Anyway, I found this one icon somewhere and I love it:

I did remember something today. I was in Florida on vacation when the whole Recount Scandal happened. It was the first time I ever really understood politics.
