I just came back from watching King Kong, and boy was that one of the best films I have EVER seen. It captures you in every single way possible, people were walking out in awe. People were blown away.
People were squirming, crying, laughing, clapping in their chairs throughout the movie. It makes you physically sick with emotion.
I even looked over and saw a 21 year old grown guy crying - he couldn't stop.
This is just one of those movies where you know it will end up doing good because it now has that best kind of advertising - word of mouth. There won't be many people at all saying a single negative thing about this movie. It moves you like no other movie will.
I expect this movie to be number one for MANY weeks to come, and maybe a movie finaly came along that can beat that box office record made by titanic? I wouldn't be surprised.
5 out of 5 stars without a doubt. Critics and people everywhere agree with me on this one as well.

Yes it is!! I went to see it yesterday... Halfway during the movie, during an action scene (won't spill it for those who havent watched it) this girl was like, screaming her head off beside me and the girl beside her was crying....
When I was walking out of the cinema, I saw a few people with tissue boxes...
The thing I like about the movie is that it captured the characters really well. Even though king kong was an animal, you could basically feel him as a person.
The plot is a bit different from the original. But I have to say that I like Peter Jackson's one way better.. (NZ Pride =P)

I know It's really really awsome! I couldn't stop talking about it when I came out of the theatre. It's really long but it felt like only an hour! It was soo cool.
I agree. I saw it today, it was amazing. Only a few small flaws though. Actually, only 1. I feel there was alot of stuff that didnt need to be there. IE, the battle with the bugs ( that was like 7 minutes long ) it could have lasted 30 seconds, and the movie is about Kong, not the weird island creatures.
