Does anybody else feel pressurized to have sex before they're ready, either from their boyfriend/girlfriend, their friends, the media?

no not really, iv had sex once and gone 2 years now with out even wanting it. Its not all its cracked up to be, really.

I haven't been pressured by a girlfriend but a few of my friends have made me feel pressured a few times cause they talk about things they did to look "cool" and say that I should try it. Haha.. I was once called immature for declaring I was a virgin. I ditched dat guy [Razz]

I'm still waiting until I'm "ready" though x]

Nah. I've had sex, but my boyfriend never pressured me into it. At the beginning of our relationship, he asked me what I was comfortable doing & what I was uncomfortable doing. Then he told me what he was ready for & said that when I was ready I could come to him. He didn't want to be like, "Are you ready yet? How about now?" because he felt that would put pressure on me. So if I came to him I could wait as long as I pleased. & we had did everything when he & I were both ready & I can truthfully say I haven't regretted anything I've done with him. [Smile]

I never felt pressured to have sex honestly I never really cared what other people thought. I was 18 when I lost my virginity and was very proud of it before that. When I did finally lose it, I wasnt pressured I personally just decided to get it over with. I don't regret it, do I wish it would have been with my fiance who I have been with since about 6months after I lost it honestly I do. I decided when I was younger that above all else I wouldnt do anything I would hate myself for later. For every person that right time varies. Hopefully youll never let anyone prod you into doing something you cannot respect yourself or the other person for later.

Of course we're pressured early, geez people were bragging about their lays in 7th grade class rooms.

However as a nerd even if you want to succumb to peer pressure you can't. Not that I ever wanted to.

The media tends to glamorize it a bit.

Mainly because the US media is centered around selling their product, and, well, sex sells.
