Well, who do you think has the advantage come game time? The Pats are the clear favourite and I know that they are playing up Brady's ankle injury, but to begin with Brady isn't a good scrambling QB, he likes to step up and throw. He's no Vick or Young. So I think the key will be the Giants blitz. If they can have an effective blitz (ie, more than just Strahan and Osi) then they will make him uncomfortable and the Giants secondary can pick apart an uncomfortable QB, even Brady. The Giants offense is more well rounded than the Pats, since they actually run the ball. If Plaxico can leap up and grab some passes the Giants will be very competitive. The onyl thing is they have to come out firing the first half. Nobody adjusts as well as New England at halftime so if the Giants can play physical beat down football (like the Ravens, specifically on Randy Moss) then no doubt they will be competitive.
That being said, as much as I want them to. I can't see it happening. When a team is the greatest ever, they can't be beat.
Im for the patriots, its my home team and EVERYONE is for the pats around here. I dont really care about football at all, but if I was to actually care I would still say pats cuz well... its been an undefeated season and how much better can you be? I go for the team that proves themselves and I think the patriots have done that so far, so go pats!
I had a feeling it was going to be a lot closer then people predicted. Giants led the league in sacks, and have two of the best defensive ends in the league, and then you got a sluggish quarterback with an added on minor ankle problem, and they have a fairly weak rushing attack. Giants are one of the few teams that can have an effective pass rush without sending anyone in outside of their front four.. and then I love Brandon Jacobs and Plaxico Burress. so I was going for the Giants and got what I wanted
