Britney Jean Spears (born December 2, 1981) is an American pop singer, dancer, songwriter, actress, film producer, and author. Her debut album ...Baby One More Time propelled her to international stardom in 1999.[1] It spawned the Billboard topping single "...Baby One More Time".[2] She released her second studio album Oops!... I Did It Again in 2000 with continued success.[3][1] A third album Britney was released in 2001, followed by the release of her fourth album In The Zone in 2003. The album's breakout single "Toxic" won Spears her first Grammy Award.[4] After the release of a remix album and a career break, she released Blackout in 2007.[5]
According to Zomba Label Group,[6] Spears has sold over 83 million records worldwide. The RIAA ranks her as the eighth best-selling female artist in American music history, having sold 31 million albums in the U.S.[7] Spears's fame in the music industry has led her to experiment with other forms of media, including film and television. Most noted for her starring role in the 2002 movie Crossroads,[8] Spears has also made guest appearances in various movie and television programs. Her success as a singer led her to several high-profile advertising deals and endorsements, including her own perfume line.
Spears's personal life has gained much attention from the media. Her marriage to Kevin Federline in 2004 received much publicity, as did the birth of her first child, Sean Preston, in 2005 and her second child, Jayden James, in 2006.[9][10] The couple's divorce in November of the same year was highly publicized, followed by an ongoing legal battle for the custody of their two children.[11][12] Throughout 2007 and 2008, Spears has been highly publicized as bieng involved in many erratic incidents.

I guess she really might have a serious mental disorder. Usually Bipolar Disorder starts at around 18 years old, and she pretty much matches all the symptoms for bipolar. I just hope she gets the treatment she needs and gets better.
Her erratic behavior was amusing at first, but now it is just sad and desperate -- no one can find this amusing anymore.

I couldn't agree with you more Kris, hopefully she will be able to get treatment and come out ahead. Find a balance that she appears to so desperately need.

I heard that she might even have postpartum depression. Which would make a lot of sense. & I agree, at first her mistakes were funny & I laughed, but now I really feel bad for her & want her to get better.
I think she should be left alone.. It saddens me to think that it's come to the point that someone is clearly falling apart and the media still won't leave her alone..
Yea when the whole Briteny Spears thing started, I first thought it was funny. The whole K-Fed/ Britney thing. Then when things got weird, I thought she was doing it for attention. Now its not funny anymore, and theres something really wrong with her. =/ She needs some serious help, not criticism, ignorance and humiliation.
