Pharmaceuticals and "hard drugs" continue to take their toll -- in the lives of our friends. Every time I have looked closer at these deaths, I have discovered that, sadly, many these deaths were avoidable by simply exercising some maturity and common sense. PLEASE READ the following thoughts, take them to heart, and practice them!
Life is a gift, cherish it!
1) Don’t take too much of anything! Especially, if your judgement may be impaired. Once you are high, especially on pills, it is very easy to keep gobbling them down. This is a mistake, as they have a cumulative effect, and can lead to an OD. And never take more before the last dose has fully kicked in. Space your doses out by several hours!
2) Don’t mix drugs! Unless you know exactly what the hell you are doing. Mixing opiates and any sort of sedative/tranquilizer is a particularly bad idea, and will often lead to death, or a very embarrassing and costly stay in the hospital.
3) you are not immortal! Contrary to how you may feel, and you are not special. You can die just as easily as the next person. Life is a fragile thing. Treat it with care...
4) Pharmaceuticals are hard drugs! As such they are very dangerous. Treat them with respect!
5) Be informed! If you don’t know, then ask first, or look it up.
6) Never take drugs out of ego or pride! Do not take them to be a bad-ass.
