On friday she was in the car at an intersection and there was a red light, then this guy in the van beside her, put his hazards on and got out of his van. He was wearing like this little hat and i think he was arabic and had this robe thing on. Anyways he walked across the street really really fast and went in those little things at bus stops. He was talking to someone on his cellphone and like looking over his shoulder constantly. My mom thought he was gonna like blow up his van so she pulled into the lane 1 away from his. Then when the light turned green, she went to the gas station and she saw a bunch of traffic where she was before at the intersection.
I know she WAS stereotyping but he was being suspicious and she'd never been so scared. I have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING against arabic people or any other race. Im just wondering if that was somewhat weird. Like there could have been something wrong with his van but usually ppl put up their hoods if theres something wrong so other ppl know. And if he was calling for help he could have called from INSIDE his van
If there WAS actually any terrorist activity going on it would end up being on the news, if it doesnt show on the news than it's really nothing to worry about. Though I don't blame your mom for being suspicious, I'm sure a reasonable explanation to this was that his car's engine died right at the intersection so he panicked, forgot to put up his hood and tried calling for help on his cell phone.
Yea, they make me uneasy sometimes, I mean, I know this was stereotypical racist, but I went to Islands of Adventure back in March 07' and there was these 2 arabics in tall towel hats and jerseys, and I was in line with them for the Spiderman ride. It made me a bit uneasy.
